Dear visitor,

You've found your way to my desk. Most of what's here is a small piece of something bigger. Since you're here, let me tell you how it all ended up on this table.

I started in fine arts, drifted into brand and marketing design, and somewhere along the way got hooked on product. Not because I had a grand theory about it, but because I genuinely love watching something come together. That's mostly what's kept me here. I've spent the last several years building things at Square and DoorDash, always by going and looking at the problem first, before deciding what to design.

That instinct to go look before I touch anything is probably the truest thing about how I work. I'd rather be on the ground talking to people, watching how something actually breaks down in practice, than sitting alone refining a single screen for a week. I'm a designer first, so I'm always thinking about what feels right for the people on the other end of what I'm building. But I've also written briefs, run research, and pushed for projects nobody asked me to push for. I'm genuinely curious about everything it takes to make something, start to finish.

That same curiosity is probably why I spent some time away from product design this year, making art instead. It's a completely different kind of problem solving working with real materials instead of pixels and figuring out what actually holds together. But it's the same curiosity just taking a different shape.

That's the desk. Thanks for stopping by.
