Design and code
Petra is a web app for making and sending digital pet rocks. The flow is two screens: a builder where you customize your rock, and a link your friend opens to see what you made for them. I designed the visual identity, drew the illustrations in Procreate, built the UX in Figma, and shipped it in React.
Each rock is based on a real desert stone, drawn as a flat silhouette and filled with hand-painted paper textures so the stack feels like a collage. The only expressive element is the eyes, two hand-drawn states that give each rock its personality. The grid below shows just some of the combinations.
